Dear Jim: I am so glad I was able to see your magnificent portraits in Springfield on February 12. I am afraid I can not improve upon anything that has now been said of your works. They are stirring and I felt humbled. You have captured the great man. As soon as I arrived in the office on Monday, after the Symposium, I cornered the director, Joan Flinspach, and Fran Taylor. Joan and Fran agreed that they would want to make special arrangements upon arrival of your portraits which we have acquired. Since I will be retiring March 31, you will want to contact Ms. Flinspach with any details. I feel sure the company will want to involve the media and have a special place for the public to view them. I hope I have the pleasure of seeing you in the near future. Sincerely, Ruth E. CookAssistant to the Director
