Over the decades there have been a wide variety of cheap plaster Volk masks available for purchase. Unfortunately every time a mold is made, small distortions occur, so after decades of molds made from molds, most commercial copies of the Volk mask are poor and almost unrecognizable. Our mold is superior and was carefully and painstakingly made using a distortion free, non-shrinking, modern material (Silicone) and cast directly from an early museum copy from the Volk studio. This totally faithful casting preserves all of the intimate features and nuisances of Lincoln's face. One can even see the pores of Lincoln's skin in the casting.
